Blaze Projects undertook a major refurbishment of Feros Arcade, a central retail precinct in Byron Bay, delivering significant upgrades while navigating complex logistical challenges. The scope of work included new shopfront installations, natural stone paving, and a striking timber feature courtyard, all designed to enhance the arcade’s aesthetic and functionality.
One of the biggest challenges of this project was the requirement to keep all tenancies operational during business hours, meaning construction could only take place at night. This created significant logistical hurdles, requiring meticulous planning, efficient overnight work schedules, and strict noise and dust control measures to ensure minimal disruption to businesses and customers.
Despite these constraints, Blaze Projects successfully transformed the space, with the addition of ambient lighting further elevating the arcade’s atmosphere. The project’s quality and execution were recognised by the NSW Master Builders Association with Blaze Projects winning the NSW Northern Region Master Builders Award for Excellence in Commercial extension, renovation and refurbishment.
